WINDING DOWN 2010...

It's been a busy Christmas here!

Without further ado, here is just a small selection of the gazillions of pictures taken in the last week or so around the Yankee and Peach house.

Hold on! I'm not done playing with this present yet!

We took Nana to see the infamous shark.
Evie shows her periodontal skills,
by giving the shark's teeth a good cleaning.

ELEPHANTS!!!
One of our munchkin's faves.

Pandas!

The lion roared just for Evie!

Checking out her social security check
before our little old lady goes to her
Purple Outfits and Red Hats meeting.

 (yes, she dressed herself.)
Trot in his usual position.

There's still snow outside?!!!

Strange things always seem to happen during her nap time.
(Momma did some rearranging and Dadda mounted
the TV above the fireplace-
she's not sure what to think about it.
)

Elmo  is still there,
so the new  location passes the test.

See you all in 2011!

THE STOCKINGS WERE HUNG...

By the chimney with care...

And also on the banister,
guarded by the Christmas monkey.

(everyone needs a good Christmas monkey!)

And also were hung on the steps...
(for Uncle Andy, Nana and Pop when they come!)

The tree has been lit...

The table has been set...

... and ready for the relatives to come sit around it!
And the cookies have been made!
(and a special note added in case Santa forgets
what kid helped make the
fabulous peanut butter cookies)

The guard has been posted at the window
to keep watch for guests...

We decided to be multilingual around here...
just in case Père Noël shows up
instead of St. Nick!
The house is all aglow...

Making the people at Jackson Electric
very happy to send us a bill...

If Santa can't find us, then he's
gone blind or is ignoring us.
They can probably see us from
the international space station!

We have a little girl who is ready....

And waiting patiently for Christmas day!

...and I think her parents are finally ready as well! (fingers crossed)

We've also been rocking around the Christmas tree at the Yankee & Peach house. There's nothing like good Christmas music to get you in the spirit of things.

The speakers have been blasting with a lot of THIS music and a beautiful version of THIS and, Momma Peach's personal favorite: THIS!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
I heard the bells on Christmas Day
Their old familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet the words repeat
Of peace on Earth, good will to men!
