Welcome to my breakfast soiree!

Today, we will analyze optional dining techniques and maneuvers.

What, the inclined head doesn't work for your digestion?

Well, then...
we'll move on to the wine pairings.

Wait! Wait! Wine, you say?!

Let me explain!! You see, Dadda...

Momma has only given me ONE glass this morning.

You should really be worried when she gives me FOUR to start the day.

Now, let's examine proper technique for holding a wine glass.
I realize this position is incorrect, as
you should never hold the glass by its bowl, only by its stem since the heat of your hand will quickly warm the liquid.

This technique is acceptable - especially if you are taking the time to inhale the aroma.  Some tasters claim that you can get more aroma by holding your nose an inch or so above the glass after swirling. They think you catch more than you would if you put your nose all the way into the glass. Try both ways to see what works for you.
I prefer to stick my nose in as close as possible.

Did you know that 80% of our sense of taste is actually in our nose? The aromas can be quite different depending on how far into the glass your nose goes. What do you smell?
Keep in mind, there is no proper sniffing technique.

But I will warn you, wine tasting at an early hour can result in artwork being done in the nude shortly after.

Don't look at me.
I just live here and have to put up with this stuff.

*Wine = Minute Maid Fruit Punch
